I'm a programmer.
I began in a rainy day of the end of 1991 or beginning of 1992, cannot recall exactly. My scientific adviser came to my room at the laboratory and said: Yura quitted us. You should take over...
Yura was laboratory's full-time programmer. I was post-graduate student specialized in plant physiology.
Before this point I did some coding in Pascal and Basic for myself, for post-grad exam, for others. I liked to code but never regarded myself a programmer. Now I had to learn being one.
So I'm self-taught programmer.
Later I earned an university degree in CS but it doesn't abolish the fact.
I've come to the University already being programmer and I keep teaching myself to program all the time since.
Now I'd like to provide you with means to teach yourself.
